Export

Your document should leave cleanly.

Keep the Markdown source, create a readable PDF, copy the text, or save to a file handle in browsers that support it.

Built for the document

Portable is a product requirement.

Glyphmark stores documents locally, so export is not a secondary escape hatch. It is the explicit way to move, back up, publish, or share what you wrote.

Markdown

Download the active document as a readable .md file.

PDF

Generate a styled reading copy with the formatting supported by the current exporter.

Copy

Copy Markdown or rendered content for another tool.

Save to disk

When a browser provides a retained file handle, write changes back to that file.

Useful details

Questions, answered

Does PDF export preserve every browser style?+

No export pipeline is pixel-identical to the editor. Glyphmark preserves the formatting supported by its current PDF renderer and keeps Markdown available as the source of truth.

Can I back up all documents?+

The export dialog includes current-document and all-document paths where supported. Use Markdown exports as the most portable backup.

Why is Save to disk sometimes unavailable?+

Retained file handles depend on browser support and how the document was opened. Markdown download remains available.
